So I'm resurrecting my old artistic side once again. Hopefully I can be a little more consistent this time. I really do enjoy drawing and writing yet for so long I've repressed these passions because I've always had "other things to do." I may need some egging on, so if you see this journal entry and have a minute, tell me to go draw something!

I have a new project that I am working on. Basically it is a retelling of an old story that never saw its full potential. It's about my alien character, Jake, and his quest to save his planet from destruction. It's been fun wrapping my brain around how I'm going to stick with the same storyline, apply some humor and concepts from 10 years ago and yet fast-forward them to college-aged alien kids and come up with some new material along the way.

If I can follow through with this, it should be a fun little trip.
